Below, we've compiled answers to questions you may have about the 4 Nations Face-Off 50/50 raffle in Montreal between February 11-15, 2025.

Who can participate?
Participation is reserved exclusively for people aged 18 and over who are physically located in the province of Quebec at the time of ticket purchase. You don't have to be a Quebec resident to enter; tourists temporarily passing through the province can also enter our raffles. Please note that the transactional website we use employs georeferencing technology to validate that you are located in Quebec. To this end, please ensure that you activate location sharing on your device or browser to enable sales.
What are the prizes?
The amount of the prize to be won (winner's prize) will consist of 50% of the gross proceeds received from all tickets sold in the raffle.
How much do tickets cost?
Here are the ticket packages for this raffle:
- Ten dollars ($10.00) for three (3) tickets
- Twenty-five dollars ($25.00) for twenty-five (25) tickets
- Fifty dollars ($50.00) for one hundred (100) tickets
- One hundred dollars ($100.00) for three hundred (300) tickets
I can't buy tickets because of geolocation problems. What should I do?
To purchase tickets, you must first authorize your device to access your location. If you are located in the province of Quebec and are experiencing problems with geolocation, you may have previously disabled location sharing on your browser or device. Please follow the steps below to change this setting and allow the site to detect your location.
On your computer :
- Open Chrome.
- In the top right-hand corner of the window, click on More then onSettings.
- Click on Privacy & Security then on Site settings.
- Click on the Position then select "Authorize" from the drop-down menu.
On your iPhone or iPad (iOS):
- Open the Settings application.
- Find Safari or Chrome, depending on the browser you're using, and press it.
- Scroll to the bottom of the screen, then press Location.
- Choose the option you wish to use by default ("Ask" or "Allow").
On your Android phone or tablet :
- Open the Chrome application.
- To the right of the address bar, press More then Settings.
- Click on Site settings then on Localization.
- Activate the Localization.
Troubleshooting steps for Microsoft Edge:
If you're experiencing problems with location services when using the Microsoft Edge browser on Windows, it's probably due to the permissions related to geolocation access. To solve this problem, you can adjust location permissions in Windows system settings and Microsoft Edge browser settings.
Troubleshooting steps :
- Check Windows system settings :
- Access Windows settings by clicking on the menu button and selecting the "Settings" icon.
- Access your privacy settings and click on "Location" in the left-hand sidebar.
- Enable location access by toggling the "Allow applications to access your location" switch.
- Review and manage application permissions, including Microsoft Edge and Maps.
- If you still have a problem, check your Microsoft Edge browser settings:
- Open the website in Microsoft Edge browser on Windows.
- Access Edge settings by clicking on the three horizontal dots (or "More" menu) in the top right-hand corner of the browser.
- Scroll down to "Cookies and site permissions" and click on it.
- Under "Site permissions", select the website entry and click on "Reset permissions".
- Try to access the website again and make a purchase.
- Grant location authorization in Edge (if prompted) by clicking on the option allowing the website to access your location.
How can I buy tickets?
Tickets for the raffle can be purchased at www.4nations5050.com until the end of the Canada vs. USA game on February 15, 2025.
To complete an online transaction, you must use one of the following card types: Visa, Visa Debit, Mastercard, Mastercard Debit or American Express. Other mobile payment methods, such as Apple Pay, Google Wallet and Shop Pay, are also accepted.
How will I receive my tickets?
After completing your online transaction, you will receive two emails: an e-mail confirmation of your purchase, and an e-mail containing your digital tickets. Please make sure you enter your e-mail address correctly to ensure you receive your tickets.
Can I enter the same raffle more than once?
Yes, you can make more than one transaction per raffle, as long as the raffle is always open - so you can play from anywhere, as often as you like!
Where can I find the winning number and what happens if my ticket contains the winning number?
The winning number will be posted on www.4nations5050.com after the raffle closes.
A member of the raffle organizers will attempt to contact the purchaser of the ticket containing the winning number, using the contact information provided at the time of purchase. If your ticket contains the winning number, you can also contact us by e-mail at fondation5050@canadiens.com with proof of your ticket.
How long does the winner have to collect their prize?
The winner has fourteen (14) business days to claim their prize. A member of the raffle organizers will attempt to contact the purchaser of the ticket containing the winning number, using the contact information provided at the time of purchase. As stated in the rules, the winner must provide proof of the ticket in order to claim the prize.
Each winner of a raffle must provide the Montreal Canadien’s Children’s Foundation with all information required by provincial gaming regulations. By claiming the prize, the winner gives the Foundation the right to publish his or her name and the prize won. All prizes unclaimed after fourteen (14) business days will be returned to the Montreal Canadien’s Children’s Foundation.
What are the profits from the raffle used for?
Net profits from the 4 Nations Face-Off 50/50 raffle in Montreal will be donated to Sun Youth.
What are my chances of winning?
Your chances of winning depend on the total number of tickets sold in the raffle.
How long does it take to receive my tickets?
Tickets are generally sent to your e-mail address within 5 minutes of payment. There are several reasons beyond our control, including high sales volume, that may cause a delay in receiving your tickets by email. Please ensure that you do not enter your e-mail address incorrectly at the time of purchase to ensure that you receive your tickets, and check your junk mail if you still have not received them within a few hours of your transaction. However, in the event that you still have not received your tickets by e-mail within one hour of the transaction, please send us an e-mail at fondation5050@canadiens.com.
I think I made a mistake in my email address when I bought my tickets. What should I do?

Is the prize taxable, and are raffle tickets tax-deductible?
Raffle winnings are not taxable in Quebec. However, no official tax receipt will be issued for the purchase of raffle tickets, as required by the Canada Revenue Agency, since the ticket gives the purchaser a chance to win, and is therefore not a charitable donation.
Can I get a refund?
All ticket sales are final. No refunds will be given to anyone for any reason. All tickets purchased and entered in the raffle are non-refundable, even if the ticket purchaser made an error in selecting the ticket package they wished to purchase.
Can I give my tickets as gifts?
Tickets are non-transferrable. The prize will be awarded to the person whose name matches that of the ticket purchaser.
